Amboy, Minnesota, on Off 9O

by Anne Queenan
for PBS-affiliate KSMQ-TV and throughout Minnesota

  • Proposed, produced and directed this episode of Off 90, "Amboy", which aired multiple times on KSMQ-TV, and on Twin Cities Public Television's Minnesota Channel, reaching more than 1 million viewers monthly throughout the state.

The small town of Amboy, Minnesota has survived and thrived by revitalizing its Maine Street and town through the arts, a re-purposed natural food cafe, historic preservation and old-fashioned muscle-power of community volunteers. Once a farm town, it's evolved and kept the town vital and actively on the map.

Both the PBS program, Off 90, and the rehabilitation of the historic Dodd Ford Bridge, featured in the program, were supported by Minnesota Legacy Funds.

I enjoyed writing, producing, directing this, as well as shooting and co-editing this episode of Off 90 with the crew.
